I knew if I waited patiently I would find what I was looking for and it was NOT expensive! What a deal!

""...

Here is my latest and greatest cheap find on Craigslist... granted its not "vintage" but it's unique and has potential to be just what I needed in my home.. but I think I might paint it with milk paint to give it that "chippy look" i LOVE that look... makes that piece of furniture a little less formal... I just love it!!

Vintage Pot Rack... absolutely darling!!

This is by far my favorite project. I took this vintage pot rack and gave it a little more pizzazz.. The wood was just an unfinished wood, so I decided to take a little antique white paint, chip it a little in the naturally worn "would be" areas and then put a nice finishing coat of wax on it. Then the wrought iron of the roosters and bars I chose black.. perfect against the antique white but also to give the rustic vibe of this piece a facelift. I think it turned out great! What do you think?

Oh the things we can do with our yard tools!! I LOVE IT

So this was very exciting for me.. a friend of mine asked me to do something, anything with a rake that she had from her mom.. I guess the look on my face pretty much said.."okay...and that is?".. well much to my amazement when she brought it to me, I was pleasantly surprised that this old rusty rake was actually very vintage and perfectly aged. Keep in mind, it was only the "rake" part, not the long pole/handle.. but she wanted it possibly painted and antique white and wasn't sure what else it needed.. well, I really liked the before look of it but for using it as a decor piece, it definitely needed a face lift.. so with just some antique white paint and sanding, it was a very very simple fix and turned out great! she loved it.. this would have been perfect to use with some chalk paint as well (love that stuff!).. so see what we can do with even yard tools!!

I'm back at it again finally! yay!!

Well after not posting much recently on my blog (which I feel so out of place when I don't.. [sad face]), I'm back at it, I still have lots of work to be done but lots have been done :) .. I've been sick the past few weeks with the dreadful thing going around called the flu! icky!  anyway, its gone now and I am back feeling 100% better :) .. I was able to finish this cute little side table this weekend.. perfect for a little corner/vignette, entry way, bathroom or hallway.. it's made just for that perfect little corner that you can't seem to find anything to fit.. well.......now you have! This piece is only $35 and would love to be a part of your home ;)

I'm kinda liking this little piece..

The hardest thing for me in this business is trying NOT to love every single thing I bring home and wanting to keep it!! I love alot of things with good bones.. and finding a piece that everyone else can appreciate is most important.  Not only do you have to love it, but it must serve a purpose, a function.  This is how we get through our daily routines and keep ourselves organized, while everything looks cute! right? RIGHT! So imagine this in your entry way, hallway, stairs, bathroom, any place you just need a little storage and something that looks great! This is my next project and I have a few great ideas for it! Remember, all of my pieces you see on my blog are for sale.  After all, sharing my favorite things with you is what give me the greatest joy! Keep checking back for the updates and the side-by-side before and after gallery of my collection.

Well here I am, finally going to put my first post out there! yay! I'm excited... Here is my very first project.. an old buffet table that was my mother's.  This piece was very worn and tattered.  I guess I could have kept it looking a little shabby and worn.  You definitely could see what all it had been through OR it could be refreshed, revived and redone in a bold, fresh, trendy color.  Since I am a huge fan of color, I decided to paint it.... a bold TEAL! yes! it looks amazing.. it's not quite done, I have some tweaking to do but here is what it is transforming into... and all I did was paint it.. how easy is that? Hope you enjoy!
